Relenza Definition
Relenza is the brand name for the drug Zanamivir used for the treatment of Influeza A and B viruses responsible for causing flu.
How does Relenza works
Relenza holds the active ingredient called Zanamivir available in powder form that is a neuraminidase inhibitor preventing the spread of influenza A and B viruses. Neuraminidase, an enzyme is used by the influenza viruses to spread from infected cells to normal cells and this is where Zanamivir obstructs the function of neuraminidase thereby reducing the spread of the flu.

Commonly found side effects of Relenza can be:

2. Headaches
3. Vomiting
4. Cough
5. Drowsiness
6. Diarrhea

Relenza Precautions
